Overview

A mutlti-year engagement centered around transforming how the company operated across management, engineering, and development. The challenges were many, including how to modify attitudes and behaviors of 20,000 associates across the globe.

Key Takeaway

Over the course of two years we worked with senior leadership to craft a multitude of learning programs including those aimed at introducing a new Scrum framework for product management and developers. In addition we developed facilitation materials for global training programs.

The Challenge

As part of a company-wide transformation team, we worked directly with senior leadership to develop and introduce a new Product Lifecycle Management process for the Product Management and Software Engineering teams. This was a massive undertaking that involved other outside consulting firms.

The new PLM process was constantly being reworked, while already having been disseminated publicly, and enacted in various sections of the company. This meant that we needed to react quickly when issues arose that required changes to be made within the new PLM framework.

The Approach

We were tasked with identifying gaps in both the process itself, as well as the ability of teams to execute. This required extensive research and interview engagements with stakeholders across the company. In addition, we provided gap analysis to third-party providers who were adapting a new product management platform for the Engineering and Product Management teams.

Once the PLM was formalized to the extent able, we designed robust self-paced WBT training for the new software platform, as well as a global train-the-trainer model to bring all Engineering teams onto the new framework.
