Overview

J&J Medtech was in need of L&D support during the creation and rollout of a new compliance approval process. This would require educating many different functional job roles on the overall process, as well as their specific sets of actions required.

Key Takeaway

Working in collaboration with SMEs and stakeholders, we were able to create an effective WBT initiative that spanned across numerous departments within the company.

The Challenge

The client was in the process of crafting and rolling out a new compliance process, and the desire was to build training while the processes themselves were still being formalized. As a result, we needed to be flexible in our work to allow for last-minute changes that could affect the final training content.

In addition, there were a number of separate teams that interacted with these new policies in a different way, and so we could not create one set of content that spoke to everyone. The final training would need to speak to the unique interaction each group would be having with the new process and with each other as work was handed off.

The Approach

We worked with our client contact to define the individual job roles that would be impacted by the new compliance process. We then interviewed individuals within each of those roles to understand how they currently understood the processes and where there were gaps.

We took this research and helped guide the finalization of the compliance process, identifying opportunities to make actual policy changes prior to the creation of training. Once our investigation work was completed, we crafted role-specific learning paths and content, using the theme of a “rock band” that the client had already decided on prior to our engagement.
